This is to recognise the best articles on surveying from each division which are based on contribution to knowledge, originality, currency, presentation and relevance to the profession.
The Award is to encourage RISM members to carry out research and contribute high quality articles that promote sharing of knowledge in the respective surveying disciplines.
The Award shall be given to the best four written articles, one from each Division, published in the Malaysian Surveyor Journal.
This Award is to be presented to a Member/Fellow of RISM in recognition of his/her excellence in any field of surveying i.e. Geomatic & Land Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Property Management, Valuation & Estate Agency Surveying and Building Surveying.
This Award will also recognise that although there are four different Divisions of seemingly separate disciplines, we are united in that we are all Surveyors.
This Award is presented to a Member/Fellow of The Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia in recognition of his/her outstanding achievements in the Surveying profession and for long-time and excellent service to the Institution.
This Award is made to an individual, organisation or development in recognition of outstanding contribution towards sustainability of the environment, efficient use if natural resources and meeting the social needs of the present and future generation.
Entries are invited from individuals, organisations, consultants or developers of projects that have demonstrated social responsibility, environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, reclamation of degraded land and/or application of leading edge technology to create innovative long term environmental or social solutions.
This is to recognise excellence in journalism for constructive reporting of the Surveying profession (comprising Geomatic & Land Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Property Management, Valuation & Estate Agency Surveying and Building Surveying) relating to the Property and Construction Industry by the Electronic or Print Media.
The Award is to recognise journalist who promote interests in the Surveying profession to the Government, Regulators and the Public in general.
The Award shall be given to the best written feature article or series of articles in the Electronic or Print Media.
